
Jega said that the consultative meeting with the leadership of the registered parties which would now be on regular basis, was put in place to seek their input in the proposal for the review of guidelines and procedures for citizens sensitisation and mobilisation for effective participation in elections, strategies for continuous voter registration and plans for constituency delimitation among others.
The INEC chairman also added that the regular meeting would also make both the commission and the representatives of the political parties “to share information, exchange ideas, discuss mutual concerns and evolve partnership, as well as strengthen the good relationship which exists, in addressing challenges in the electoral process.”
